Terms of use

Savy is a utility for saving media you have the right to save. By using it you agree to these terms.

1. The service

Savy fetches publicly available media from the link you provide and converts it to a file you can download. Files are stored temporarily and deleted automatically about one hour after they are created.

2. Your responsibility

You may only use Savy to download content that:

  • you own or created;
  • is in the public domain or under a licence that allows copying (for example Creative Commons);
  • you otherwise have explicit permission from the rights holder to save; or
  • you are allowed to copy for personal use under the laws where you live.

You are solely responsible for how you use downloaded files. Downloading may breach the terms of the platform the content came from, and redistributing copyrighted material without permission may be unlawful.

3. What you must not do

  • Circumvent DRM, paywalls, or access controls, or download content that isn't publicly available.
  • Use Savy to infringe copyright, harass others, or distribute unlawful material.
  • Automate requests in a way that degrades the service, or attempt to bypass rate limits.
  • Probe, scan or attack the service or the networks it runs on.

4. Availability and changes

Platforms change often and some downloads will fail. The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, and may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time. We apply per-IP rate limits to keep it fair for everyone.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Savy and its operators are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from your use of downloaded content.

6. Copyright complaints

If you believe something was saved through Savy in a way that infringes your rights, see our copyright policy. Other questions: hello@example.com.
